Youthtown is committed to making a difference to the lives of all young New Zealanders. Helping the country’s youth realise their dreams is what drives our organisation and motivates our team.

Youthtown Inc. is a Charitable Incorporated Society. Its governance is administered by an elected Board with a Chief Executive Officer, Fay Amaral appointed by the Board who undertakes the overall management of the day to day operations and ensures the strategy is implemented.

The role of the Youthtown Board is the setting of our strategic direction and the overall governance of the organisation.

A Sub Committee of these experienced and dedicated Board members is responsible for managing grant applications and distributing funds on a monthly basis.

Youthtown’s gaming operations are headed our CEO, Fay Amaral.


Fay Amaral – CEO

Fay Amaral joined Youthtown in March 2019 bringing with her a wealth of experience in the commercial entertainment sector, education and youth development.  She also has two Masters degrees, one in Commerce (Business Management) and the other in Psychology.  Fay has worked for many large organisations in both South Africa and New Zealand and is excited about the future of Youthtown empowering young people to be best they can be.  She is driving several new focus areas for Youthtown, embracing planet awareness, diversity, culture, sector partnerships, the creative arts and a wider youth engagement.

Amie Reynolds – Relationship Manager

Amie is an experienced and motivated professional, with a demonstrated history of working in Class 4 gaming, event, project and inventory management.
Joining Youthtown in 2012, Amie has worked as the Gaming Operational Services Manager, and the South Island Territory Manager.
In September 2019 Amie became the Relationship Manager and now leads facilities’ management, projects and events for Youthtown, in addition to developing and maintaining key relationships and partnerships for both the Youthtown Gaming Trust, and Youth Services teams.

Hoani Moore – Territory Manager - Northern

Hoani started in the gaming sector over 20 years ago working in sales for United Gaming Ltd. and has also worked with several class 4 gaming societies throughout this time. He stepped away from the charitable sector in 2007 to play rugby in the UK. Upon returning to New Zealand he worked for DB Breweries, staying involved in the hospitality sector. Hoani’s personal network spans far and wide across the country through his involvement in sport and hospitality. Living on Auckland’s North Shore, he enjoys spending time with family and friends whilst keeping a keen interest in many sports.

Eugene Sutton – Gaming Operations Lead

Eugene brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Youthtown in his role as Gaming Operations Lead, specialising in gaming operations and performance management. He has an extensive industry background covering the class 4 charitable gaming and casino sectors, across a career spanning 28+ years. In his most recent role as Gaming Performance Manager with TAB NZ, Eugene was responsible for the operational management and performance optimisation of their fleet of 501 electronic gaming machines across 45 venues nationwide.
