Youthtown Inc. is a Charitable Incorporated Society. Its governance is administered by an elected Board with a Chief Executive Officer, Fay Amaral appointed by the Board who undertakes the overall management of the day to day operations and ensures the strategy is implemented.
The role of the Youthtown Board is the setting of our strategic direction and the overall governance of the organisation.
A Sub Committee of these experienced and dedicated Board members is responsible for managing grant applications and distributing funds on a monthly basis.
Youthtown’s gaming operations are headed our CEO, Fay Amaral.
Fay Amaral joined Youthtown in March 2019 bringing with her a wealth of experience in the commercial entertainment sector, education and youth development. She also has two Masters degrees, one in Commerce (Business Management) and the other in Psychology. Fay has worked for many large organisations in both South Africa and New Zealand and is excited about the future of Youthtown empowering young people to be best they can be. She is driving several new focus areas for Youthtown, embracing planet awareness, diversity, culture, sector partnerships, the creative arts and a wider youth engagement.
Paul Fleet – Regional Manager – North Island (Gaming)
Paul is our representative for the Northern Territory, he has been in the hospitality and gaming industry since 2000. He worked for the gaming machine manufacturer Aristocrat before moving to the charitable sector, where he has held various positions from compliance and operations to his last position of General Manager of a gaming trust.
Brad McIntyre – Territory Manager - Northern (Gaming)
Brad is our representative for the Northern Territory. He has 30 years’ experience in the gaming industry. Previously worked for United gaming in Sales and service. Specializing in float management and customer service. He is always there to help with new or existing venues.
Nick McIntyre – Territory Manager - Northern (Gaming)
Nick is one of our representatives for the Northern Territory. He has over 10 years experience in the gaming industry. He has previously been an operator of multiple hospitality venues around Auckland, so he knows the industry both from the inside and out.
Martin Tregoning – Regional Manager – South Island (Gaming)
Martin is our Manager on the ground in the South Island and has considerable experience in gaming, spanning 19 years in the charity gaming sector. He is very well known in the gaming industry and has a large relationship base. Martin's knowledge and experience in gaming room design and game mix analysis means he can offer the best gaming solution to ensure your gaming operation maximises its returns to the community and your business.
Amie Reynolds – Relationship Manager
Amie is an experienced and motivated professional, with a demonstrated history of working in event, project and inventory management. Amie has worked at Youthtown for over 7 years including three years in the Gaming Team as the Operational Services Manager and Territory Manager Southern.
In September 2019 Amie moved across into the Relationship Manager role and will be leading and developing key relationships across both Gaming and Youth Services. She will be lifting engagement to ensure Youthtown succeeds in its aim to engage and develop young New Zealanders, empowering them to be the best they can be.
Cameron Edwards – Grants and Gaming Systems Coordinator
Cam has worked with Youthtown for the last five years, starting on our Programme Teams, but moved across to our Grants and Gaming Team in September 2019. He assesses all incoming grants and has links to many community groups.
He also works with our Technology Team developing internal software solutions and data management.
